Apparently, I'm a Nazi... by Mintaka-TK Apparently, I'm a Nazi... by Mintaka-TK
...Because I'm interested in the Third Reich.

Such is the idiocity of the internet sometimes...

Bottom line: I am NOT a Nazi, nor will I ever be a Nazi. I just happen to be interested in Nazis. If I was a Nazi, I'd probably be sporting one of those batshit-annoying flashing swastika avatars.
Then again, displaying Nazi-related symbols of your avvie/profile/sig/whatever doesn't really help your case. :|

Ever think of doing a stamp that says "Interest in the Japanese Empire does not equal Imperialist" or "Sexual Attraction to Aliens does not equal Bestiality" (sorry of that last one sounds creepy) or "Interest in the Sangheili does not equal Covie/Split-Jaw Lover"

I remember that ( not ) so great time i spent in School ( which was supposed to be some kind of " elite " school , full of supposedly smart people ) when people used to call me Nazi because i loved History and WW2 was my main " interrest " during our History Lesson , aswell as Fascism during our Philosophy lessons . And being the Aryan type didn't seemed to help ...
Most retarded part was when i joined a WW2 Reenactment club ( Soviet soldiers ) and people started to call me Commie instead !

Yes, it's all pretty interesting. I don't understand why someone would assume you are a Nazi because you were interested.

... well, this does not happen only in interest in the Third Reich, but interest in colonization of countries! As a person who is interested in both the dark and wonderful parts of history, I think the people who say this should rethink that.

I don't condone any of the Nazis' actions or philosophies, but they were pretty fascinating, and they had some really killer looking gear. Not to mention, they did manage some crazy technological achievements, such as the infamous V2 rocket.

Yeah.
By learning about the Third Reich, Hitler, the Nazi, The Master Race, and the WW2 over-all we can truly appreciate if we were born after the war, and know to be very happy that Germany lost the war. As sick and dark place as the world is, the events of the WW2 remind me that it could be so much worse.

Even though the last nazis are dying, and evetually also will those who were born duting the war and survived it - they should never be forgotten or ignored.

For that and because millions of people were sadistically and systematically tortured and murdered by the nazi, simply because they had a certain nationality/religious view, race or good grief even just a disablity...families were torn apart and people left with eternal mental, spiritual and physical wounds.

I concider interest in the reasons to be some form of respect towards the victims. That people care about the past and their suffering and why/what-for it happened, rather than look the other way just because it was terrible.

Of course if one was interested in it with certain type of enhuastic mentality for the nazis' belief, then there would be a problem. But indeed, being interested in the Third Reich doesn't automatically mean that. You can simply be interested in its historical and psychological backgrounds and possibly in emotional connection to the victims.

Some people should just grow up, or get over whatever is blocking their reasonably thinking.

Just because I'm German, doesn't mean I AM a Nazi. I am a Grammar Nazi, yes. But a Nazi as in from Nazi Germany? No. I'm not. Fuck the idiots in the internet that think Germans = Nazis. WE ARE NOT NAZIS. I don't want my country's flag to be associated with Nazism.

Wow. Familiar...
I'm deeply interested in the history of the 20th century, especially in World War I and II. With that goes the Third Reich and the Nazis. Obvious, isn't it? Well, for a lot of people it isn't. I can't make them understand that however I'm interested in the Nazis and I like to read about them... I DO NOT belong to them!

Best stamp ever.

True, interest in the Third Reich and Nazism are two COMPLETELY different things. Studying the Third Reich's inner workings is like studying the inner workings of a Schizophrenic Political Mastermind (you know who I'm talking about).

Nazism is the belief that all non-white Central Europeans are subhumans, and are worthless animals unworthy of life (bullsh!t, IMO). I would elaborate more, but I'm not in the mood do go off on another history lesson right now; if you REALLY want to know the difference, look it up on Wikipedia; that article is actually reliable. I think.
